Books to Kids
is excited to announce our

2024 Program

Books to Kids’ primary mission is simple: get books to kids as a way to inspire the next generation of readers and writers. If kids are not exposed to literature, or the creators who make them, they are not only disinclined to look into writing or illustrating as a profession, but, more importantly, to not engage with books at all. We want to change this scenario, by making sure that kids have their very own books to keep and meet the people who create them.

For 2024, we are concentrating on bringing authors, illustrators, and creators to children in

under-served communities at Front Range Title I schools, Boys & Girls Clubs, community centers, and other places that are gathering points for children in need. In order to make this meaningful experience last, we are also committed to providing a copy of the creator's book to as many of the attending children as we can. Thanks to our amazing donors, we are planning to give out over 1,000 books this year.

If you are a part of one of those organizations please contact us to see if this program is a great fit.

Books to Kids is a local Denver nonprofit that was formed in 2018 to help promote and enrich youth literacy in the Denver metro area.

We do this by making free books available to kids from 0 - 12 in all of our communities in and around Denver and all over the Front Range!

Books to Kids wants to help children from all over find the joy in reading and even help them connect with their favorite authors and illustrators!

The Books to Kids Board believes that reading is for everyone and there is no child that dislikes reading;
only a child who hasn’t yet been connected to the right book!
